The Elliot Twins continued to benefit from
LearningRx Brain Training and Reading Training from 6th grade and on into college!
*UPDATE: Congratulations to Beth and Emily upon their college graduations!
The program really works, yet we already knew it would. Having put our eldest daughter through the program, we understood the value of LearningRx and your educators. We were more than pleasantly pleased with Debbie's performance with Arianna. She is personable, patient, and thorough, taking the time to ensure Arianna excels at her learning. We have seen an amazing improvement at home, and will always recommend Deb and LearningRx to other parents to improve their children's cognitive abilities. Thank you so very much for brain training Arianna! She will reap the rewards for the rest of her life and definitely into her adulthood. C. and H. H.
We enrolled Abigail in the program because she was having learning difficulties due to chronic illnesses. She had been receiving speech therapy, but her progress seemed slow, at times, and her articulation disorder was affecting her progress in reading and spelling. Although Abigail was promoted to first grade, we knew she would have a difficult year and might even need to repeat first grade, unless she received some help. She did well with some skills - her handwriting is beautiful - but she lacked the self-confidence she needed and had problems with attention, getting started on assignments, and completing her work on time.
The program has given Abigail the help she needed. Her self-confidence has shot through the roof. She is like a whole different child. Now, she will try anything and is no longer shy or afraid. She came in and said, "I want to play basketball." She scored a goal during her first game!
Abigail's grades are wonderful. Her teacher said that she is in the top 10% of her class. She is making A's with an occasional "B". When she had to miss school for several days, she did all of her "make-up" work by herself. She flies through the math problems!
The speech pathologist says that Abigail is nearly finished with speech therapy. In the past, Abigail seemed scared to try. Her speech pathologist said that now when she shows Abigail what to do and explains it, that Abigail gives it a try and succeeds quickly. We are very pleased with the positive changes in Abigail since she completed the program. M. and S. P.
My son Zack had been in a dyslexia tutoring program for eighteen months. We had just been told that the program was not giving the results that they had hoped for. We were still trying to digest that information and had decided to let Zack have a break during the summer; when I received a call about a new program to this area that may help Zack. I pulled up the internet and looked at the website. I could not understand how this kind of training could help my dyslexic son. I also am his Mom, who would do anything and try anything to make things easier and better for him.
Zack had struggled with school since he was in first grade. His sister Jessica would get him off the bus and start homework. My husband would get off from work and do more homework with Zack. Then, after we had supper, it was my turn with Zack. Basically, Zack did nothing but go to school and do homework, not to mention the three days a week that he went to his dyslexia reading tutoring program.
I could not fathom how this brain training could help Zack. We decided, yes, we would try the program. I will never forget the smile on Debbie's face after she administered Zack's pretest. She thinks it can help! Oh, how I prayed she was right. We started the program, and my prayers were answered.
We worked hard through the summer and when school started Zack was a different child. His confidence level was much higher, we didn't spend but about an hour a night doing homework. Zack was spelling better, reading better, his attention span was better, he was remembering things. Zack was always good in math but it was better, too. He was actually making A's and B's on his report card instead of C's, D's, and F's.
There is not an area of his life that has not benefited from the program. Before the program, Zack could not play games like Battleship, video games, and board games. He could not understand the directions and was easily frustrated. Now, we have family game night and he has discovered video games. When we play Farkle, Zack not only counts up his points (in his head) but he counts up everybody's points, too.
The program has also helped me have more patience with Zack. The program is not only training the brain, but it is also about positive feedback:
WAY TO GO!
SEE HOW GOOD YOU DID!
I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!
I am so thankful to Debbie for introducing this program to our area. My family believes in this program. One of my hesitations about it was, if it looks too good to be true then it probably is. I have heard that all my life. Well, not in this case. I believe every person, no matter how smart or how much they struggle, could be helped from this program. T.L.
The program has helped my daughter in so many ways. She is so much more confident. She is so responsible and has a great attitude about school. Her organization skills have improved. She picks up on things a lot faster and can remember things that before she would forget. Her conversations with others have more substance and her communication skills have improved tremendously. I have and will continue to recommend this program to others. I am sure that this was a wise investment for our family. D.Y.
I saw her confidence go up within the first two weeks. She "self-started" for the first time in forever! Homework and tests were studied for without any pressure from me. Her grades improved and she received a certificate for being on the Honor Roll. She uses the skills she's learned, from short goals to visualization. We all have benefitted from LearningRx! L.C.
I knew that Grant needed help, but I wasn't exactly sure what he needed. When the program was explained it sounded perfect for him. I have no background in education; so, I was a little intimidated about the Home (Partner) Training. I was pleasantly surprised that it was pretty easy and FUN. I also feel that I benefited from the Home Training. I think that Grant has benefited from every aspect of the program. His comprehension, concentration, and memory have really improved. I am happiest about the improvement in his confidence. He seems so much happier when it comes to his schoolwork. J. and B H.
My child is able to finish her work faster. She doesn't have to study as long for tests but is diligent to take the time she needs to study. Grades have improved. Her writing, as in the ability to write a report, has dramatically improved. She is able to express her thoughts clearly on paper. I have not had to help nearly as much with homework. She is enjoying reading more. It is not unusual to find her reading a book in her spare time.
